Host Disc Mirror Procedures

NOTE : Set the SCSI I.D. of the disc you want to copy to “ 1 ” ( by select the Rotary Switch at the rear of the unit to number “1”, this equates to address 0402 ).

Place the disc into the slot labelled 0402 in disc unit assembly , then turn “on” and allow the disc to run up to normal speed.

At the SCICLONE P.C. , Stop the Simulator Program by type :
Command > RUN SIMSTOP <cr>

1) At the CONSOLE Data Terminal , Panel Mode the Host computer using :
@@P , HALT , RST , CLE , IPL=0400
( then enter date and time ……… etc.)

2) Still at the CONSOLE Data Terminal , type :
@@A
OWNERNAME : SYSTEM <cr>
ENTER KEY : <cr>

3) At SSM , then select “ T ” <cr> ——> ( togo to TSM prompt )
TSM> MIRROR <cr>

This will prompt you to confirm that you are about to Copy Files in the disc I.D.= 0400 ( as a MASTER ) into the disc I.D.= 0402.
You are about to mirror DM0400 disc to the DM0402 disc
Is it safe to countinue? Y/N> Y <cr>
“DISC MIRROR IN PROGRES …….”

Check the “Red disc acces light” on the front of the disc drives start flashing.
Approximately 30 Minutes later ………… , the CONSOLE Data Terminal screen will tell you that the Mirror Disc procedures has finished.

TSM>……..

4) If finish select “ X “ to exit from TSM prompt.

Remove the disc from I.D.=0402 , then set the Rotary switch on the back of this unit back to “0“.
Replace the MASTER Disc (ID=0400) and install the Disc you have just copied into ID=0400.

Boot the Simulator Program as normal procedure and Check if the Simulator works correctly.
